Workshop 2 -
Green man
In
this series of workshops we will discover the diversity of shape and
form that can be accomplished using slab and handbuilding
techniques. Each student will begin by following step-by-step
instructions, using templates and learning important skills to assemble
their piece. As a comfort level is reached, each participant will
be encouraged to bring their own vision and design to the final
product. By the end of each workshop, everyone will be amazed by
the variety and wide assortment of the group's final work.

Pitchers,
Creamers &
Sugar Bowls

In Workshop
One, the emphasis will be on pitchers. Each student
will be guided on how to design and construct the body of their
own unique pitcher. We will then discuss and
create drip-less spouts, handles and even feet. Creamers and
sugar bowls are an extension of the pitcher and will be created in
the afternoon as time allows.

Our
summer schedule is posted on our web site with reduced classes and open
studio hours - see more details below. Our regular schedule will
resume starting September 8, 2008.
However, we will be very busy with our weekly children and teens Pottery Summer Camp
which are starting next week. There are only a few seats left for some
of the weeks in July and more are available in August. Summer Camp
details.
