Team Building - Discovering Your Senses and Game

Benefits:

1) Stress Management and Explore Your Hidden Senses
2) Learn new things about team members and be surprised by what they can do
3) Do something you didn't know you could do
4) Stimulate creativity
5) Enhance connections
6)Take home your beautiful creation

The Exercise: Introductory to pottery and it's qualities physically and mentaly/spiritually. Hands-on exercise including "closed eyes hand building activity". Each participant will end up making something beautiful. Discussion and "getting to know each other" exercise while working with clay.

The Game: Divide the group to two teams. Each team, taking prepared balls/lumps of clay, makes clay animals. Doesn't have to be beautiful or even exactly recognizable. The animals, as soon as they're finished, get put down in a designated place, all lined up one after the other - nose to tail fashion. All participants keep making more animals and putting them next in the line 'til the clock runs out. The idea is simply to have fun and see which team can make the biggest zoo with recognizable animals.

Potter's wheel demonstration and hands-on to those who are interested (they'll get dirty) is optional.

All hand built items made by participants could be fired (additional cost) with the color chosen by each individual. The glazed artwork will be picked up or mailed approx. two weeks later. This offering is optional.

Minimum/Maximum Group Size: Up to 18 in our studio. Larger groups can participate with more trainers (additional cost) in your location or a rented facility (e.g., hotel)

Program Length: Three to four hours.

Cost For a Two Hour Program:

  • $24 per hour per person
  • If no "team building" activity is selected, $18 per hour per person
  • If more than nine participants, add $240 studio reseting fees
  • Firing & glazing fees per item kept (optional) - $12 per item
  • If conducted at your facility, add $400
  • Catering cost is extra

Note: If interested only in each team member making a pottery project with spontaneous team building effect, the cost is $20 per hour per person plus firing fees.

Program can be conducted at your facility and can be customized to address your specific team building needs (e.g., instead of "getting to know each- other" exercise, we could change the theme to "thinking out of the box" for example.)
