There are several types of epoxy cements that can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to cure partially or fully.
This video demonstrates epoxy cure stages using PC Clear two-part epoxy at approximately 75°F room temperature.
Lower room temperatures slow the curing process significantly. One way to accelerate curing is by placing the epoxy cartridge in a 140°F wax warmer and then placing the cemented object into a heated curing box also set to approximately 140°F.
Controlled heat can reduce epoxy cure time dramatically while improving workflow efficiency during ceramic and sculpture restoration projects.
